Thank you for the birthday wishes!

Thank you for all of your amazing birthday wishes! I had a wonderful day. I traditionally have a “birthWEEK” so that I can really stretch it out as much as possible. My birthday usually falls right near Thanksgiving so I normally start celebrating it then and then it stretches out until about a week after my actual birthday (December 1st – mark your calendars for next year! lol) Anyway, this year I spent Thanksgiving up at Gerry’s winery in Northern California. For my birthday celebration, Gerry & David too me to a great sushi restaurant and then to a club where we felt like we were watching MTV. So when we went back home we made Buffalo Wings w/blue cheese dressing and talked about life and laughed and laughed some more. Sunday night I drove back to Los Angeles. What normally takes 6 hours took NINE! There were tons of fog and tons of cars. At many points I was at a complete stop on the 5 Freeway and other times I was going 20mph. It was painful. I got in after midnight. On my actual birthday (Monday), I had to work (booo) and it was busy!

Brad Grey (Paramount Pictures Chairman) at the Tree Lighting Ceremony
At 5pm, Paramount did the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony which was totally lackluster. Last year, Brad Grey (Paramount Pictures Chairman) brought people up and acknowledged them, etc. This year was nothing like that. He reminded me of Bill Murray’s character in “Groundhog Day” when he’s totally burning out talking about “Puxitoni Phil” blah blah blah! LOL! So sadly, today I think I know why. All Viacom employees (Paramount Pictures, CBS, MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, etc.) received a couple of emails this morning talking about the bad economy and how 850 employees were going to be let go today. Geesh. Craziness. If you are one of the 850 people and you are reading this, I want to tell you that I am sorry this has happened to you, especially right before the holidays. I wish for you a far better situation waiting for you on the other side of this.
So after the Tree-Lighting Ceremony, a wonderful friend took me to dinner here in Los Angeles – another sushi restaurant! It was very, very good. I LOVE saki & beer and tuna. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! And so I got exactly what I wanted! Yes! And thank you to my YouTube/BlogTV friend Chris Hursty (Hursty810) for organizing a hilariously bizzare birthday video for me! Thanks to the participants as well: MackDuncan, NicoleRenee, DannysUltimatum, Alexama123, and Supergetz! You guys make me laugh!! MUAH!
