"I'm a 54 year old woman who has been leading a quiet little life working for the Department of Social Services in California for nearly 20 years. I was divorced 7 years ago and only after that did I discover what my true passion was. I love to travel alone and encounter other cultures. What I mean by that is discovering the people, sights, things to do, having adventures as they happen, without the filters, constraints and propaganda provided by a tour guide. When I retire at 60 I'm going to acquire an apartment in Milan and make that my home base from which I will explore and write novels. Do I speak Italian? Nope. Does that matter to me? Not one bit! Absorption is the most effective way of learning a language anyway!
I tell as many people as I can what my dream for two reasons: Because each time I tell it, it makes it one tiny bit more real to me, I'll fill in one more detail of what it will look like. That makes the dream one step closer to becoming a reality for me; and secondly, because you never know what dreams it may inspire in others, and I make it a point to especially tell women about my plan. I get the most amazing range of reactions! I've yet to meet anyone who has said "me too!" and I've been planning this dream for six years and told a lot of people.
So what I've concluded is that if I can open someone to the possibility of dreaming for the first time, or dreaming bigger, what a nice thing that would be. I won't be around to see it, so it's not like I'm doing it for any external reward or hoopla. I get such a charge though, seeing the twinkle come on is someone's eye when they start asking me questions about my dream of living in Italy, because I know the spark of possibility has been lit. Corny but true. Too many people live without hope and without daring to dream."

"Well, where do I start? Just like everyone else, I have lots of dreams...to be a great wife and mother, to write the great American novel, to live a life I can be proud of...the list goes on and on. But I do have one nagging dream. I have what I think is an unbelievable idea for a television show. It is different, fresh, unique and honestly has never been done before. My dream would be to see that idea come to life...or at the very least to be able to pitch the ideas to television networks.."

"My dream is to produce television shows. I'm actively trying to make that dream come true from Houston, but I hope to move to New York this summer. I just recently turned 30 and decided I'm not getting any younger so I'd better really give my dream some real time and effort. I used to be a producer at the local Fox channel for five years, but I want to write and produce for a national show. One day I'll have my own show!"

"I have a dream. I want to write my novel and start my guitar making shop and to be able to make a living from that instead of having to work for some culture void company that is only concerned witht he bottom line (profits, profits and more profits)"

"I just graduated from college with a degree in civil engineering. This is because the college had no degree for environmental engineering, which I'd have preferred to major in. Environmental is often considered a sub-field of civil, and I did focus on it. I did so because I want to improve living conditions in areas of the world where the living conditions are intolerable, where people have no sanitation, where they have imperfect access to water, or where they are plagued by pollution.
The model I sort of have in mind is that of Ben Linder. He was an engineer who went to work for Nicaragua in the eighties right out of school to build a hydroelectric power plant. He was killed by the Contras (but that's not part of my dream, needless to say).
The difficulty, of course, is that the places that need the most work don't have the money to build these things. I don't care about salary, but the projects themselves cost money to do. That's why the standard way to go about this sort of pro-bono work is through an organization like Engineers Without Borders (an organization inspired by Doctors Without Borders, if you've heard of them). In other words, a group that collaborates on worthy projects for which the labor and materials are entirely donated. So I am faced with working my entire career in high-paying jobs that I'm not really interested in just so I can save enough money to be able to fund the real work I want to do after I "retire."
I'll keep looking for alternatives, but it's frustrating. If that's the route I end up taking, I'm sure I'll have difficulty keeping my eye on the ball and not getting side-tracked. Anyway, that's my anatomy of a dream."

I have come to realize that I have two dreams. One is to see others succeed at what they strive for, the other is to become a writer. Perhaps not to be a great writer but a writer none the less.
"My dream is to create a better lifestyle for myself and my two daugthersthrough my work in the entertainment industry. Not only do I want to put out a successful album, but I would also like to have my songs played in TV, films, and video games. I want to be respected as a man, father, writer, and emcee by all who come in contact with me. I would like my music to positivly change the way people think about hiphop
and themselves.
While on my journey I want to help other people's dreams come true as well.
I want to support and make music with artists who might not otherwise have a chance to be heard. I also want ny sound to reach my father's homeland, Ghana, and inspire the people there as well."

My dream: is a fitness oriented one. I'm 42 and I am currently in the best shape of my life since my early 20's. I plan to participate in a fitness Triathlon this June at Calloway Gardens in GA and compete in a 100 mile bike ride this May in the "3 State, 3 Mountain Challenge" in Chattanooga, TN! Then on to the next dream.
I've been trying to make a difference in the world for years now. I landed in school, while working as a waiter, studying Interior Decorating. 3 years later, I realized people needed more than a pretty pattern on their pillows. So many people take for granted the space they live in, the space that comforts them, welcomes them, entertains them and shelters them.
A year ago, I decided to become that person, more than a decorator or a designer, an Urban Space Stylist, and only a month ago I opened my first showroom/studio in
downtown Toronto, helping urbanites living in small
spaces truly enjoy their homes and help make their
existence more positive. - The dream, to have a
studio/showroom in every major city in the world
insuring that city dwellers have a source to help them
create their perfect cocoon.

.. I have always been an artist but along the way I became a mom. So I raised my daughters to the two beautiful women they are now, while trying to instill in them to always follow your dream whatever it may be.
So now here I am.
I decided to pick up my dream and see what I could make of it. Over the years what has emerged and come to the forefront is the incredible passion I have for PHOTOGRAPHY. I want to sustain myself as a photographer.
It started simply enough.. request for me to take photographs of friends and family. People requesting some of my artistic work for their walls. Me always being obsessed with finding the feelings and things that make a moment and then capturing it. The beauty in people. Because I believe that everyone is beautiful to a degree. My favorite subjects are children and pregnant women. What is more amazing then birth? What is more amazing then life? Those two things embody that.
So please check out my website: www.cavellinophotography.com
This is just a small sampling of the thousands of photographs I have taken.
It is always evolving so check it regularly.

"My dream is to be a full-time filmmaker and screenwriter. I want to make a living at producing film projects that call to my spirit. I also want to rescue abused animals and animals in need. I would like to do that by actually taking in animals in need and working with them as well as producing creative and inspiring fundraisers for organizations such as ASPCA and Best Friends."
